Club Update - 30th May 2020
It has certainly been an interesting start to our 2020 season preparation, during the past few weeks the committee has been working hard behind the scenes to get the club back to training as soon as possible. It was great to see this was achieved with our Y7-Y9 returning to training this week. Our Y3-Y6 will also return in a staggered approach over the coming weeks.
A special mention must go to Kara Craig & Kylie Smith for all their efforts during this period, it is appreciated.
I had a very productive meeting with the WAFC & Club Presidents last night to discuss our season start. I am sure you have also seen todays announcement from the Premier, this is fantastic news for all of us.
I can confirm a season will be underway shortly and we will be in a better position in the coming week to make an announcement.
What we can say:
Junior Competition - We have been advised today that team nominations will need to be submitted within the next week, this is also a positive step that a season start date is close.
Auskick – It has been confirmed that all Auskick Centres will be able to resume once the Junior season start date has been confirmed.
The information we receive has been rapidly changing and the club is doing its best to ensure members are kept updated. We will be communicating with all members & coaching staff in the coming days to further advise of new information that comes to light.
I thank everyone for your patience and understanding through these recent times, I know you are all keen to get the season underway as are the commttee and this date is closer than we think.
